12.19.06 Ok, I can't wait on the other news! I'm really excited to tell you about a new project I've just started with Mark. We're putting together a new music blog, called Stereoscope. We love music and we love you, so we want to bring all of the things we love together. Mark's a great partner for this; he's the guy I turn to when I'm looking for something so fresh it's still moving. And he's in New York, the other music capitol. He can talk East Coast and I can talk West Coast. It's hands across America. Check it out. # Can you believe it? I'm moving! Just up the hill, luckily, but I'm excited anyway. It's a great little apartment in Safeway Heights, between the Lower Haight and Hayes Valley. I guess I'll have to change my picture now. Internet connections will be intermittent, so don't expect much more before the holidays...except for those surprise Christmas presents...but I'll be back once things get settled in and I get some unpacking done. # 12.18.06 I don't really get excited about over-marketing, even when it comes from Apple. So the fact that the new ipod nano's have myspace pages neither surprises nor impresses me. But I do think it's interesting and kind of funny that each color has it's own profile and it's own "personal" playlist. It's kind of dumb and kind of cool. Although Apple has always resisted the urge to personify the little gizmos, which is probably wise. Once you start ascribing different personalities to different models, you make them a little less accessible to those who fall outside of the specific psychographics you've chosen for, say, Pink iPod Nano. Then again, these are myspace kids we're talking about. # 12.12.06 The rumors are true! At least according to this New York Times article. Workplace rumors are, by and large, true. But you already knew that, because you heard it from Andy who heard it from Amy who overheard the conversation between Stephanie and Yvonne, right? # « November 2006 | archive index | January 2007 » built with movabletype |
